Scheherazade and Shahryar

Names might diverge slightly from language to language; she might as well be named "Shehersad" or something. But anyway, she is the mother of tales.

King Shahryar discovered that his wife cheated on him and plotted against him, so he killed her and concluded that there was no loyal woman in the world. He married another girl every evening - just to kill her the next morning. Scheherezade wanted to end this, so she asked her father, the Vizier, to wed her off to the king. In their wedding night, when the king was done with her, her sister Dinarzade came to Scheherezade as she had told her to do. Dinarzade asked her sister to tell her a tale, and the king listened as well. When the morning dawned, the tale was not ended. Curious of the further story, the king decided to let Scheherezade live another night so she might tell her story. And she told and told, each night anew. Through 1001 nights she told stories, and each morning she bought her life with the promise of another one. In the end, King Shahryar forgot his wrath against all women in the world as he saw that Scheherezade was the right wife for him, not only faithful but also wise.

I was experimenting with patterns, and though her garment is not exactly Persian or Arabian style (or any other real style), I like how it turned out. Only, I fear the king looks too plain next to her, though I've tried to give him a rich pattern as well.
