Rosebud: A Favor to her Keeper
The Petal Princess sat propped up in her bed, a thick, warm blanket drawn across her. Hey eyes skimmed the pages of one of the books Raina had brought her that morning. She hated being confined to her room, but she knew she was still far too weak to wander. She had managed to brush the tangles from her hair, with a bit of help from Raina. She relished the feeling of her fresh nightgown, trying not to think of the dress that she had had to throw out.
Ari looked up from her book as there was a knock on the door. "Come in," she said, putting the book aside. She smiled as the door opened and Iris entered.

"WHERE IS SHE?!!!" The king's enraged cry could be heard throughout the palace. His normally snow white face was flushed red with fury at the news Toremen had just delivered.
"I don't know, My Lord," the goblin replied, her eyes cast to the floor. "I went to the dungeons to relieve the night guard, and she was gone. No one remembers seeing anything."
Livid, the king rose from his throne, black ice following his steps. He shoved past Toremen, and stormed to the dungeons, unbelieving of what she had told him. Upon seeing the empty cell, he gave a cry of rage, razor sharp icicles sprouting from ever crevice of the room.
"Who was on guard
